Yesterday I got to spend time with my very talented friend, Bryn Chernoff of Paperfinger. Bryn specializes in all things hand-written, offering beautiful and fully customizable alternatives to traditional calligraphy and illustration. Paperfinger has been featured in numerous weddings and events, earning press from some of the country’s biggest names in the business, including Martha Stewart and Brooklyn Bride, not to mention my sister’s own wedding feature in Style Me Pretty. Everything Bryn does is done with care, and one look at her portfolio demonstrates just how truly original and one-of-a-kind her work is. Quite literally, there is no match in the business.

Bryn was visiting Portland by way of Brooklyn, which gave us the perfect excuse to meet in person to go over some sketches she’s completed for a project we’re collaborating on. Bryn is helping design the logo and branding efforts for a new jam company I’m hoping to launch this winter. We are just in the beginning stages of the process but it’s been fun exploring jar shapes, lid colors, and label designs with her. Bryn is the type of person who respects the brainstorming process, and working together has been an extremely rewarding experience. She has been patient in helping me work through my ideas, and simultaneously offers her own unique and thoughtful perspective. I am grateful to be working with this talented designer and I am also looking forward to sharing the final product, and the results of our efforts, with all of you. Please stay tuned.
